Note of Appreciation
The Hampshire County of Emergency Management would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who participated in our full-scale county-wide mass casualty drill on Saturday, March 8th. The scenario was based on an explosion at the High School followed by reports of 2 gunmen inside the building. Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, and other agency units participated by responding non-emergency. Special thanks to HHS staff & students and McKee Funeral Home staff for their participation in making VERY realistic "victims". We are reviewing documentation and findings from this exercise. We are in the process of planning Phase II of the exercise in order to further examine our state of emergency preparedness.
